Now for those who have been married or already having children, you might have known this. But for those who are planning to get married, there are some things that you need to do.
I really forgotten about it until Babai's mom mentioned it to. Some of you girls might remember taking free Rubella vaccination when you were in secondary school. Too bad, there were no those visit from government hospital during the 5 years I was in my school. Rubella, or German measles are mild rashes that can badly affecting your feotus if you caught it during the earlier stage of your pregnancy.
Another important vaccinations are against Hepatitis A and B. This is more towards liver infection, which can also being passed to your feotus. I remember during one of my medical checkup prior to my employment with my ex-company 2 years ago, the doctor recommended me to go for this vaccination, but I totally forgotten about it.
I have checked from a private clinics just now, Hepatitis A+B cost RM130 per trip, and you need to take 3 jabs in 6 months duration, total cost is RM390. For one time Rubella injection, it'll cost RM45. I'm not sure whether goverment clinics provide free vaccination though. Not everybody is required to take Rubella injection, but this can be determine through a blood test.
Please bear in mind that you can't get pregnant before completing your 6-mths Hepatitis injection course, and 1 month after your Rubella injection. So you can start going for this injection even if you are not planning to get married soon. Who knows, you might bump into your Mr Right Guy tomorrow! :D
