This might be the most unexpected news in Sarawak at the moment.
Condolence to YAB Pehin Sri Dr Abdul Taib Mahmud and his family, and also for the whole Sarawak state for the passing of his wife, the late Datuk Amar Puan Sri Laila.
At the time of this posting, the official announcement has yet to be made.
May God bless her soul.

I was informed by my sister about this... she works in Cats.FM... tedah kan taib... Condolence to all Srwkian... and Taib himself....
this probably isnt appropriate, but now the public has an excuse to visit the den of swak's most prominent political figure. Sigh.. unexpected indeed. she looked so healthy the last time i saw her.
Ya, R.I.P. But if one has cancer, the sooner one goes, the better! Death is a blessing...
One Other : It is kinda inappropriate. They are prominent and public figure, and public need to pay their last respect. They are no.1 family in Sarawak anyway. When someone dies in the family, we don't close our door to outside people, right?
