I Caught The Bug

It was a quiet time in the office, except which the only thing that were buzzing in the office at the moment is the internal audit. It is our very first time of Quality Management System (QMS) audit, and I'm glad I am part of the team eventhough I came into the picture a bit later. It's an extra knowledge that I welcomed very much.

As the hype with the PPSMI still going on, there was something interesting happened in the office yesterday. My office consists of few nationalities and many different races, and our common language is of course English. I did not think so much of the language, as Mandarin was commonly used too.

Yesterday, I had witnessed something quite extraordinary, at a time where we were debating nonsensically. We were having an internal training which was conducted by our Japanese global Technical Advisor. As most of us did not understand his very limited English, we did not ask so much. But the person who asked the most was our Design Manager, who is actually a Chinese lady who hailed from Xian and has very little command of English herself. There, in front all of us Malaysian who were good enough in English command but lacking in terms of technical knowledge, watched helplessly as the two 'masterminds' having a technical discussion, of which was quite comical and animated at times. They frowned and frustrated, struggling to understand each other, as we ourselves sat back and watched. Some were amused, some were discouraged.

Watching them made me realized so much that, it really does not matter which language to use when acquiring technical knowledge. Then again, we have to remember that English is such a universal and matured language, being used to break the language barrier in the world. If only the Japanese guy can speak a better English, he would have been able to transfer much greater amount of his knowledge to us. Either that, or we have to learn Japanese ourselves. Bahasa Malaysia/Melayu is not even in the equation.

Anyway, apart from Life At Work narration, at the moment I have started slowly on my 'current' personal project. I believe most of you have known that me and Babai are married through a Civil Marriage. For those of you who still think that Civil Marriage is not really a marriage, fyi some churches has already urging the bridal couple to civilly registered first before having their matrimonial ceremony. However, please check through each of your parish because each parish have their own procedure.

I can't remember so much whether I used to having a dream about my own wedding. I love weddings, and all 8 of my siblings are already married, which means I have witnessed in at least 8 weddings in my life. However, I never actually envisioned my own wedding as most girls would, because deep down I was scared that it would never materialised. One thing I know for sure, a wedding will cost a lot haha.

Nevermind the financial aside. Before this, I was a bit apprehensive about the wedding as I was so worried with the financial aspect and the idea of having other people taking over our major decision. Waking up in the morning after a mini-war with Babai about the wedding the night before , I guess I received sort of admonition, saying, "Hey! Wedding is supposed to be fun. Enjoy yourself!"

Because of that, I am glad to say that I finally catched the bug, or more likely, the bug caught me, and right now I am taking all my free times to browse the internet for ideas hehe..

We are already looking for a suitable date for the church wedding and the place to do the reception. The urgent thing to tackle now is the pre-marriage course (PMC), and at the same time I am almost finishing my confirmation class, which feels like neverending (pheww). The other major details have been identified but not yet sorted out. We have arranged to go back to Kuching next month for the pre-nuptial interview, and I would also like to take the chance to scout for a suitable bridal house. Both the families have also started to produce the guest list. I think like any other weddings, everybody, families and friends alike, is excited too :D

Ok ok i know some people says it's a bad jinx to show your wedding dress to public before the big day, but these are not mine. They are just some samples of the dress that suit my body type and I like them very much :D

err... i don't know.. i felt lace is a bit too much for me. I like no.1 for its simplicity of the skirt and it's bodice. For the neckline, of course I prefer no.2. There are lots of sample I've seen, all very nice hehe..
