But there are two types of bananas that is acceptable to my palate, and Babai's favourite too.
I did not know the name of this banana before. So last night when me and Babai bought some at the Pasar Borong Selangor nearby, I took the time to ask the young fella who mane the stall the name of this banana. Heheh I am so happy to finally be able to name this banana. Next would be identifying the name of fishes kuikui.. (err does this show something to you :p)
I bought this at RM1.50. Hmm.. is it expensive?
It's called Pisang Rastali/Restali with scientific name of Musa acuminata x balbisiana Colla (AAB Group). It is also called as Pisang Raja Sereh in Indonesia. I'm not sure what is it called in Bidayuh language, but me and Babai resort in calling it 'borak moduok' (spoilt banana) from the black spot on the skin. I like this banana because I felt that it have characters.
The other one is the gigantic Pisang Tanduk, but it's kinda hard to find. Even if we do find it, I could never finish it at one seating. So I never bother.
But pisang tanduk goreng is sure nice eh? ;)

Banana split is nice (i love ice-cream!) but unless someone chia, i never order one because i felt it is always overpriced. but it's also so easy to do at home, especially to be made as a treat for kids :D
my dad will say to me everytime I reach home "Cyril, I bought banana's.. you must eat one after dinner"... Sometimes this drives me bananas....
LOL!!
Dont like banana much either. Hate the squishy feeling in my mouth. eugh.
Eh, in this part of Bidayuh town, we called it Pisang Kapas. what do u call it in that part? ;-)
