# PDR NO.1 :
TITLE :
The Life Before Her Eyes
LEADING ACTOR/ACTRESS : Uma Thurman/ Evan Rachel Woods/ Sherman Alpert/Eva Amurri.
SYNOPSIS (as written at the back of the cover):
A dramatic thriller about Diana (Uma Thurman), a suburban wife and mother who begins to question her seemingly perfect life--and perhaps her sanity-on the 15th anniversary of a tragic high school shooting that took the life of her best friend.

In a flashbacks, younger Diana (Evan Rachel Woods) is a vibrant high schooler who, with her shy best friend Maureen, plot typical teenage strategies, cutting class, fantasizing about boys, and vow to leave their sleepy suburb at the first opportunity.

In senior year the subsequent year, Diana is haunted by the increasingly strained relationship she had with Maureen as the day of the school shooting approached.

These memories disrupt the idyllic life she's (Uma) now leading with her professor husband, Paul and their young daughter.

THE CLIMAX: During the school shoot-out, it is about a difficult decision made between two best friends, of whom shall live and whom shall die when being confronted by the shooter, and how the flasback/future life can be seen during the last hour. Reminded me of Stephen King's writing, who can make a book out of half an hour's life event.

REVIEW:
1. Uma Thurman never dissappoint me. I believe she is one of the smartest leading actress around, who knows how to choose good movie and good scripts. And The Life Before Her Eyes is a very good choise of her.

2. This movie can be very depressing to some. So beware, this is a heavy movie. In fact, I finally understand in the end why the director/writer had done the movie the way it was.

3. I love movies that make me think (The Matrix not included). I love movies that made you say, "oh my God. I did not see that coming!" -remember The Sixth Sense? The Life Before Her Eyes made me to say "owhhhhh i seeee..."

REVEALING TIPS :
If you still don't understand the movie by the end of it, the tips is :REMEMBER THE TITLE.

RATING (5/5) :
Script : 4.5/5
Storyline : 4/5 (a bit confusing by the flashback at first, but u will understand why)
Filming : 4/5 (dark and depressing, but for a reason)
Acting : 5/5 (I love Uma. Period.)

Star : 4/5

Yepp Desmond!! i've watched 'The Others', and it gave the same impact too :D. The best thing about 'The Life Before Her Eyes' is that it might have looked like a normal teenage movie, but in fact it was far from it, and we realized it only at the very end. Plus, it made it all better with these 'superactor/actress' like Uma, Kidman etc in the movies. Really thumbs up for the writers' creativity!
