Rounding Off? Or Cheating On?

The reason why Malaysia government was rounding off the few cents in our transaction is because they want to reduce the usage of 1 cent coin. I got that. In a way, I got to clear my 1 cent coin off my wallet too, its been a nuisance actually.

But what I don't get it is this, why credit card payment also has to be rounded off? It is a virtual money, there is no physical coins involved. Does the reason above valid anymore?
