DCHL - The Reason Why I Started My Blog

One of the reason that spurs me to have a 'semi' serious blog, aside from my Friendster blog, is because of DCHL.

I once posted about DCHL in a Bidayuh forum about a month earlier at Bidayuh Info. The forum was meant to be a forum where the Bidayuh, who originated from Sarawak can get together virtually and share information. My intention to post about DCHL was to tell the forummers about the experience I went through about DCHL (I will let you know about it in my future post), albeit indirectly. I had attached together the complaint about DCHL I found at the Consumer Community Portal, and the link to Anti-Lamp Berger website, product franchised by DCHL, so that they will alert their family members and friends about it.

The moderator of the forum normally will issue a warning to the author of the post, that their post which deemed unsuitable, will be deleted. This so that they understand and not to post the same thing in the future. That was the practise and the new Regulation that they have outlined. Well... their 'usual' practise...

However, few hours later my posting was deleted. I did not get any warning and explanation. Fine. I was surprised at first. Did I do anything wrong? Or is there someone inside who doesn't want forummers to read my warning? But being optimistic as ever, I buried my suspicion and did not say anything about it anymore. It is not my forum anyway.

2 weeks later, a forummer contacted me, saying that a similar posting on DCHL before mine, was also deleted. So.. there were indeed some people who noticed my posting.

Maybe.. just maybe.. somebody wants me to shut up.

Then I realized, one of the way I can reach to people is by having my own blog. It's my very own blog, so I can say whatever I want, right? Right?
